Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 7 October 2026
Hotel Villa di Sorrento is committed to making www.villadisorrento.it accessible to as many people as possible, including people with disabilities, in line with Italian Law 4/2004 as amended by Legislative Decree 82/2022, which implements the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882).
Reference standard
Our technical reference is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA, as referenced by the European standard EN 301 549.
Compliance status
This website is partially compliant: most content meets the criteria, but some parts are not yet fully accessible.
Content that is not yet accessible
- some gallery and room images may lack a descriptive text alternative;
- some light text on light backgrounds or over photos may not reach the minimum contrast ratio;
- some animations and automatically scrolling sections do not offer a pause control;
- third-party content, such as the RoomCloud booking engine and Google Maps, is not under our direct control.
We are working to fix these issues in upcoming updates.
What we have already done
- page structure with headings in a logical order and the page language declared (Italian and English);
- a website that works on smartphones and tablets and with browser zoom;
- a cookie banner and settings panel usable with the keyboard, with clearly visible buttons, screen-reader labels and closing with the Esc key;
- privacy, cookie and accessibility information shown in windows that can be closed from the keyboard.
Assessment method
The assessment was carried out as a self-assessment, with manual checks and automated tools, by Mdaweb, which develops and maintains the website.
